"Project Phoenix Learning Center" Dedicated in Winston-Salem

The Jim and Cheryl Caldwell Foundation, Chris Paul’s CP3 Foundation and The Salvation Army proudly dedicated the grand opening of a new computer lab and learning center called the “Project Phoenix Learning Center” on January 22. Although Jim Caldwell and Chris Paul were unable to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony due to scheduling conflicts, each of their family was on hand.

Almost half of U.S. households earning less than $50,000 a year lack Internet access at home. And many families in Forsyth County earn much less than $50,000 a year.

The gift from the Jim and Cheryl Caldwell Foundation to The Salvation Army Ken Carlson Boys and Girls Club in Winston-Salem doesn’t change that – but it does give some local young people more opportunities for online learning after school.

Miracle Ride Golf Outing

The Basket of Hope program provides hope and inspiration to newly diagnosed children and their families affected by cancer or other serious illnesses, primarily through the delivery of a Basket of Hope filled with inspirational materials to nourish them mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Coach Caldwell and former Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy have delivered baskets to patients at Riley Hospital.
